Okay, so this morning we did our first grocery shop for May.  Now technically there are a few days left in April, but I don't want to wait until next weekend, because then we'll be in May and I'll feel like I was cheating by leaving a couple days off.

Anyway, I spent $121.91 for this shop.  However, I stocked up big time on some of the main meal staples that we will eat throughout the month.  That will help keep the rest of the month's bills down.  I'm just hoping that ShopRite doesn't throw a triple coupon week at me, because then I know I'll go over, because I use triple coupon weeks to stock up on items that we don't necessarily buy every week.  I'll deal with that if it happens.

So, as I said, I spent $121.91.  The original price was $154.78.  I didn't do great with coupons, but again, I bought lots of meat this week.  I saved $32.87 with sales and coupons, which is only about 8%.  Not great.  But, here is my itemized list:
