Avoiding Foolish Talk
This is something that "I" need to work on and thought I’d post it in case it might speak to someone else as well.

"Avoid godless, foolish talk that leads to more and more ungodliness."
Avoid - To stay clear of; to refrain from; escape; evade
godless - Not recognizing God
foolish - Lacking good sense or judgement; unwise; ridiculous
ungodliness - wickedness; sinful
This of course, would include:
Gossiping
Speaking bad of others
Speaking bad to others
Speaking when angry
Things we should be speaking:
Praises to [and about] God
Witnessing about God and his goodness
Edifying and building others up
And, as a Proverbs 31 woman - our speech should always be wise and kind.
Proverbs 31:26 says "She opens her mouth with wisdom and on her tongue is the law of kindness."
Dear Lord,
Please help us to speak things only that are pleasing to you.
