It's my dream

It's a beautiful day!

Hi Friends!

It’s somewhat of a lazy day around here today and so I decided it’s high time that I get around and blog awhile.

How’s everybody doing? I hope good and that you’re having a nice weekend!

Mostly today all I’ve pretty much done is to work on crocheting and also on my plastic canvas a bit.

Still - doing those things relaxes me so I guess that’s a good thing.

I’m not the type of person who can ever really ever relax because I feel like I need to always being doing something.

No idea why I’m this way but even on vacations, I’ve got to take something with me to do,

not that I’ve been on vacation for a long time ... I’d love to go but no money and no vehicle = no vacation. a-lol

One thing I need to get done either today or tomorrow is to plan my challenges for the month of May.

A few I would like to do is ... a grocery challenge, a savings challenge, no frivilous spending and of course, a weight loss challenge.

I’m sure if I thought hard about it, I could figure a few more that I’d like to do as well.

What I’ve been thinking is that I am either going to keep my grocery spending for May to either $50.00 or $75.00,

I’ll have to take stock of things on hand and then see which one would be the most obtainable.

Actually I am pretty sure that I can get by with $50.00 ...

That’s unless coupons come out for Boca burgers [from time to time they put of $1.00 coupons on one box.]

If those coupons should come out in May then I’ll definitely get as many as I can and stock up on them.

If those come out, regardless if I go over $50.00 for the month - in the end, I’ll still save a lot of money.

Though I’m on a constant mission to declutter [both my home and my life], I still find that I have more to do.

This morning I was on the OrganizedHome boards and read a really motivating thread.

It’s on decluttering and favorite motto’s people have when it comes to getting rid of clutter.

One of the best motto’s that I’ve read is ... "Why am I looking at this $4.00 item as if were gold.

When I read that, I’m like ... yeah, why do I do that anyways?

There are many small things that I hold onto and don’t need or use but think ... what if I need it someday?

The truth is, maybe I will and maybe I won’t but if I do - I can see if I can borrow it from someone or buy a new one when and if I do need it.

It may not sound like that’s the frugal thing to do, but in the long run - it very well could be.

’Cuz I mean, if you have things and can’t find them when you need them ... then they’re not doing you much good anyways!

Well, I guess I’ll go and get busy and work on my challenges for May to see what I come up with.

Hopefully I’ll get back here to write more sometime this week.

Love,
