I can not believe how bad I’ve gotten over the past month in writing on my blog.
To be honest, I really don’t know why either ... the best excuse I can come up with is procrastination.
excuse, huh?
It seems that I’ve not gotten a whole lot done over the past few weeks [though I’ve constantly been busy!]
Times like that are really discouraging, if ya know what I mean?
Last week was a frustrating one or at least the end of the week was anyways.
On Friday I went to use my new cell phone [not quite three weeks old!] and it wouldn’t turn on.
I called the Cell One store and basically what they told me to do was to charge it and if it still didn’t turn on, to call them back.
Well, that’s just what I did and ... it still wouldn’t turn on.
Then, that evening we got quite a storm and ended up with no electric until Saturday afternoon.
How thankful I am, that on that day ... I had the foresight to go out to Walmart on the bus and buy a lantern [which come in handy, for sure!]
On Saturday I called Cell One again to let them know the phone still wasn’t working and they told me to bring it down.
That’s a major hassle for me because the store I bought it at was 20+ miles away and I have no vehicle.
Thankfully, my daughter took me down there on Monday and the store swapped that phone out for a new one that does work.
I was worried that they might try to make me let them send it in to be repaired and I did not want that.
The way I figure it, if you buy something and don’t have it quite three weeks and have a problem ... then most likely that’s what you’ll continue to have, ya know?
Everything worked out well though, I got a new phone and so all is well.

I’ve tried to be frugal lately but it hasn’t seemed to be working very well.
Actually, I hadn’t done too awful bad until yesterday and then I went and bought a new small rocking chair for my bedroom [I didn’t buy it at Walmart though but at a regular furniture store.
I certainly didn’t need it but I’m glad that I bought it ... it’s just perfect in there!
I had one empty corner that needed something in it and that was just the thing.
As many of you know, I live on the 7th floor in a hi-rise building and have no balcony but I want one really bad.
Well, I’ve got a nice sized window in my bedroom and so the chair is right by it ...
All I have to do is to turn it around and face the window when I want to and when I sit in it, I have a beautiful view.
So, I decided that when I sit in it ... it’s directly in front of and by the window and I can put my feet up on the window ledge [which is a good width] ...
And then just sit there and rock and look out over the hills and also see what’s going on here in town and it’s almost like a balcony [but just with windows!]
The one problem is that the chair is a dark colored wood and I really, really wanted a white one but they didn’t have any in white.
So ... this afternoon I’m gonna run out to Walmart and get some primer and some white or off-white paint and am going to paint it!
I know, I know ... I must be one of the only people who’d buy a new piece of furniture and then get it home and paint it [especially since it’s not un-finished wood!]
Still, that’s what I want and when I’m done - it’ll be perfect.
Next, I need to find a set of rocker cushions for it ... I did find a set I really like but ouch, they’re $70.00!

As for my diet, it’s going well and I’m back on track again.
I’d done so well for so long and then last week, oh boy ... I was way out of control.
I’ve gained one pound back but that still is a 30 pound loss and so far this week, I’m doing really good again so I fully expect a loss on Monday!
Well, guess I ought to get for now so I can get ready and catch the bus out to Walmart to get my paint.
I hope you’re all doing good ... I’ll try to get around to visit everybody soon.
Love,
