The 2nd man our insurance company sent over today doesn't seem to think that there is as much damage as the guy from yesterday. And......it isn't the hotwater heater at all!!! He found where the water was coming from, it was coming from a pipe inside the wall behind the toilet. It is only a little wee squirt of a leak and it caused all of that damage amazing! He said that it must have been leaking for about 4 months. He said that we have to pay for the plumber ourselves to come over and repair it but the insurance company will cover the rest.
He also said that there are only 2 walls in the bathroom which need replacing and the storage room in the workshop ....he said that the carpet is fine. One of the walls in the bathroom which needs replacing, the shower is on that wall as well, he said that they only need to replace the wall up to the shower and not touch it (the shower) but I am scared that there is damage behind there too, especially since it is on the damaged wall, oh well, we will have to wait and see.
Odd cause the first man the insurance company sent over said differently.........I will just be happy for everything to get back to normal.
We didn't care for supper last night, we had the mushroom sausage and potato in the crockpot.....I had also made homemade rolls to go with it, the rolls were great lol. Tonight we had homemade spaghettie.
I didn't do much today, slept this afternoon for 2 hours, guess everything has caught up with me. Went to the dr. today and I am going for bloodwork to check up on my thyroid and she wants to check me for diabetes too.
Dh and I have to sit down this evening and figure out what all we have to pay......we had the electrician $110, insurance deductable $500, the electrician has to come back and fix the fan in the bathroom and he said that will be about $200( this is not related to the leak). The plumber we have to pay as well, not sure what that will come too. Thank Goodness and God that we have the emergency fund if needed. We have the cash on hand for the electrician and the man from the insurance said not to worry just yet about paying the insurance deductable, he said to wait as there is a minimum $3000 worth of work and that doesn't include clean-up etc.
Everything seems to have to do with money.
I can't wait till everything gets back to normal here, We need to get back on track.
Hugs to Everyone on this Windy Wednesday
