Ramblings on Credit Card Debt Grrrrrrrrr.

Well today I definately need to get some things in order around our house. It has rained here and has been overcast for the past week and I am not sure when it is supposed to clear up. I enjoy the warmth but it would be nice to see a little bit of sun every now and again. It does tend to get a little depressing.

Payday is in 2 more days......Dh has used the credit card for a couple of things and I ordered some movie pass packages for the kids for Christmas on there soooooooo, I will be putting money on the CC. Sometimes I don't understand Dh......I love him to death but when it comes to a credit card I just don't get it. Isn't it terrible how using the credit card can just sneak up on a person? It seems like we get it paid off and it slowly climbs back up.....my weakness is ordering books online once in awhile and I guess the movie packages I ordered for the kids but in saying that as soon as I had confirmation that payment was taken I went to our bank online and transfered the $ amount for the movie package to our credit card immediately. Somehow though the credit card is still going up and up...hmmmm. I mean really........I don't even remember everything Dh put on there. I wanted to cut it up as we don't need a credit card really or drop the limit to their lowest minimum but Dh won't hear of it........Matter of fact they just took it upon themselves to raise the limit up $2500 more than what we already had . At least we only have the one I did put my foot down on that LOL! I asked Dh to call them and tell them that what we had for a limit prior was more than enough but nope, he said he needed it for work as he does travel alot he is not thinking how the $2000 limit in which we had was always enough for him to use before for work. He is pretty good too with making sure he puts every penny on the Credit Card when his boss gives him his travel money so I can't really complain there. I am just creeped out though, I told Dh that the money on the Credit Card isn't even our money , it is someone elses money we are using.

4 1/2 years ago we had it so hard, we lived from pay to pay always and we hit rock bottom.....our credit was ruined and it is still very hard for me to talk about it to this day. As I mentioned in yesterdays Entry up until even 20 months ago we had always lived from pay to pay. I finally caught on........I finally got it! Dh is much better with finances as well, we see eye to eye on everything except for the dang Credit Card....lol.

So I have Christmas coming up, I still have to fund the emergency fund and a Credit card to pay. The good thing is our bills are always paid and up to date, still have tons and tons of food, we are all healthy and have each other. Never skipping a payment is so important whether it be on a phone bill or hydro bill etc....

Guess that is my ramblings for today.

Hope Everyone has a Wonderful Wednesday

It's rainy here today too and guess it is supposed to be tomorrow as well.

The temps aren't all that warm here today but it's to be in the 60's tomorrow and for NW Pennsylvania in November, that's pretty good!

However, they have snow forcasted for this weekend so I guess all good things must come to an end sooner or later. *lol*

As for credit cards, I don't have one now .. apparently I wasn't responsible enough with the ones that I did have and my credit is shot. :-(

For a long time I was so good about them and keeping payments up but ... get behind one time on a fixed income and well, you can imagine ...

Have a good day!

Love,

Jennelle

I got rid of my credit cards almost three years ago, and I'm really glad that I don't have credit as an option. I have to get creative at times!! I know that having a DH would make things hard, though. My ex loved credit cards!! It seems like yours is more responsible than mine was, though.

I just read your post about all the changes you made in the last 20 months - way to go! Just wanted to congratulate you.

My DH and I don't see eye to eye on the credit card thing either. We have enough money in our checking account to pay for everything with our debit card. I pay for all of my stuff with the debit card, but DH still puts it on the credit card. We do pay it off in full every month, but I don't see the point in charging everything to begin with since we have the money.
