I have been trying to blog on here now since last Thursday and here it is Sunday! We have had so much going on that i have just been drained. Our dd's school had a student carrying weapons trying to kill a couple of boys at their school and whoever else got in his way to stop him. He thankfully didn't get past the principles office. He has 9 charges against him right now and they figured from what I have been hearing he will have more come tomorrow. I still don't know the whole story as the school is on a military base. The news media did show up there durring lunch hour and the military told all of the highschool students who were outside to go inside and would not let them talk to the press. The kids have been told by the principle and teachers not to talk to the news media. They have said things to the kids (from what our 2 dd's have told us) that the news would only try to make their school look like another "Dawson College" ......or the news media will only twist their words around. Also they told the children that it is noones business.
There have been no letters sent home to parents....noone is saying anything. It was on the French news station about the boy and charges being laid etc....they even interviewed a couple of students who said that they really don't know what went on. Also when this all happened alot of the kids saw the whole thing from their windows when the boy was outside with the cops...they saw him being peppered sprayed, they saw the cops take a weapon from him as well as a cop body slam this boy into the ground. My dd 15, and her class got up and watched from the window of their classroom. The teacher told them to sit down and once they were seated were told by their teacher "well alright then, you can go to the windows to watch but you will have to come in to finish your class over you lunch hour". So they did. My friends 8 year olds class saw everything from their classroom windows as well.
Anyhow , I am emotionally drained. There is alot more to all of this....it really is creepy , but I am just so tired of thinking of it all.
I have a letter started addressed to the Directer General of the schools to set up an appointment.This was the only way his secretary told me that I could even get in to see him , was through a letter.My family has had a history with this young offender up until this past year with him bullying my dd.
There is way too much going on behind the scenes.......Noone is talking who do have the facts or about what they saw on that day. I have a feeling it is because there is another boy who was buying drugs from the offender and he didn't get what he paid for "so to speak" so he and his brother beat up on this offender and the next day this young offender went to school the next day and waited for 2nd class before trying to get into the school with weapons and the intent to kill. I think the school and the military are trying to protect these 2 boys for the simple fact that their father is up there in ranks in the military.
It is a pretty sad day when your dds say that they are saying nothing to the news media and when one of your dds say " Mom, Dad,....we don't want you talking to them either......they will just twist your words around".
