Christmas is almost upon us and I need to get my gifts in order.

Well, I am sitting here thinking OMGOODNESSSSSSSS.....Christmas is almost upon us Sheeshhhhhh. I will be doing my Christmas shopping on the 15th of December and then that will be that.

I am going to go to the dollar store and pick up 4 Christmas gift bags . The girls will get the pajama party bags.....a pair of p.j's in each along with a movie (from the flea market) a couple of bags of their favorite candy(Samantha loves fuzzy peaches) along with some creams for those facial masks maybe their own little manicure set and some nail polish.  Does that sound right? Maybe I am missing some little added thing for in there? I am going to wrap up each gift to put in the bag so they can just take them out without knowing what is in each.

Our son who is 22 I was going to make up a movie lovers basket but I don't know what all to put into it. I could pick him up a movie and add some snacks but other then that I am lost. I do have movie pass packages for all 3 kids but that was supposed to go into their stockings......Maybe I will do a young mans survival basket but of course put in a bag. I could put cologne, socks, gloves, scarf, movie, a couple of snacks, cell phone card and maybe I can find a couple of neat gadgets to put in there like a mind game etc.....anyone with any ideas?

Dh I think that I will do up a book lovers bag......I will get him a crossword book, a novel, a book mark, pens, a couple of snacks ....that should do him :).

The kids are getting one big gift each but they are just all so expensive with what they would like to have. The girls want cell phones the prepaid ones and I am thinking of doing that. I can get them each one for $99 and they each come with a $75 prepaid card included in the price of the phones. They each have a part time job so they can pay for their own prepaid phone cards after that lol. Devin I just don't know what he would like. He hasn't been calling home lately and that makes me sad, I have left messages but he never returns my calls......I did catch him on yahoo about a few weeks ago and all seemed well. I have to remember that my son is now a man with a life of his own and won't always have time to call. He has work and a girlfriend. I would really love to know though how long he will be home for Christmas.....I miss him so much!

The next thing the children will be getting will be any money sent from relatives. The money will be divided up evenly for shopping the boxing day sales. My father whom I have not seen since I was a child only writes once a year and that is at Christmas time with a Christmas card and a money order for about $200. His sister sends money for the kids each year and that is about $35 so the kids will have fun boxing day that will work out to be about $78 plus change for each one of my children.

I am hoping that their gift bags which we fill we can get at good bargain prices....I will be shopping at the flea market, value village, dollar store etc. As I look at the list though it just seems like too much!

I might do another entry today lol, I am behind getting my thoughts and happenings on here lately and I need this blog, it helps me to think:)

I Hope Everyone Has A Wonderful Blessed Sunday

Gifting ideas stolen <eg>

The movie basket is a great idea and it is well recieved. I made one for my brother and sister in law a couple years ago. I added popcorn, drinks, a couple movies, theatre style snacks and a lap quilt I had made. There were movie related small items included as well. Most of what went into the HUGE basket were things aquired at yard sales and thrift stores and they LOVED it. I put made up movie tickets as the gift tags as well.

My oldest son moved out this past summer and the survival bag sounds like a perfect idea! (hope you dont mind if i steal it?)

And the pj party bag is divine! My youngest is getting a cell phone for her "big" gift (her middle brother's old one switched over to her) and I think a pj party bag would be a perfect other gift for her, she is almost 15. It would be great for my oldest son's g/f too!

One more son to make a bag for... he is into flying and military so that should be pretty easy to fill.

Thanks for your blog and the great ideas!

I love your gift bag ideas. I especially love the pajama bag. That could be adapted to any age. You have given me a lot of great ideas! Thanks!
