ESPN anchorwoman tells audience: ’F--- Jesus’

ESPN, ABC Refuse to Take Any Action

ESPN and its parent company, ABC, have refused to take any action against ESPN anchorwoman Dana Jacobson for her hateful, slurring remarks against Jesus, saying "F-- -- Jesus."

On January 11, Jacobson was speaking at a celebrity roast in Atlantic City, N.J., when she unleashed a profane tirade, saying, "F--- Notre Dame," "F--- Touchdown Jesus" and finally "F--- Jesus."

"Touchdown Jesus" is the popular moniker for a statue of Jesus raising his arms, located on the Notre Dame campus.

Catholic League president Bill Donohue spoke with ESPN about the attack and received an e-mail from Jacobson which basically treated the incident as a non-event.

The statement said, in part, "I respect all religions and did not mean anything derogatory by my poorly chosen words."

Jacobson’s comments were at a public event where she was representing ESPN.

The fact that neither ESPN nor ABC has taken any action against Jacobson indicates they have a bias against Christians.

Donohue said that Jacobson should be fired. This anti-Christian bias of the networks is becoming commonplace.

Actress Kathy Griffin used her appearance on the Emmy Awards program to tell Jesus to "suck it," responding to athletes who thank Jesus when they achieve certain levels.

The only action was taken against Griffin was what amounted to be a week off for vacation.

Please take a minute and call ESPN at 1-860-766-2000 and politely ask that they fire Jacobson.

The F-word [File a complaint with the FCC]

ABC allows F-word during Good Morning America show

File a complaint with the FCC against ABC and your local station for airing the f-word.

This past Tuesday (Jan. 15), ABC network broadcast stations aired "Good Morning America."

During the course of the program, ABC affiliates chose to broadcast actress Diane Keaton’s blatant use of the f-word.

Transcript of interview with Diane Sawyer:

Keaton: "Those lips, I love them. I would like to have lips like that. Then I wouldn’t have worked on my f---ing personality.

Excuse me, my personality. If I had lips like yours, I’d be better off.

My life would be better. I would be married. I have these thin lips."

Sawyer: "My mother is going to work on your personality with soap in your mouth."

ABC and your local station have been warned about allowing the f-word on the public airwaves.

The network could have easily muted the obscenity. But it chose not to.

The network stations purposely chose to violate Federal and FCC law by airing the program.

Here is your opportunity to make the networks more sensitive to your concern.

Please file a complaint with the FCC against ABC stations for the broadcast of indecent language.

Take Action!

File a formal complaint against your local ABC station for airing the f-word during Good Morning America.

Just wondering, how many of you are fans of American Idol too?

No Shopping: Day #1

Posted on 2008-Jan-1 at 10:50

Whew, the day is over and I finally have some time to relax!

I was busy most of the day in getting the things on my list done and at the end of the day, I come out with having 1345 points.

Tomorrow I have to refine my list a bit and have decided that I’m not going to list every little task because well ...

Because one of my goals for 2008 was to simplify and I realized today that I was just adding more stress for myself than anything.

I will continue with my purplecc list but will modify it to where I can still earn points but not list every little thing.

Oh and here’s an update on my first day of this month’s not shopping ...

I spent $0.00 today!

One day down and 30 to go [till the end of the month] because I made a one month commitment to this.

I can do this .... yes, I can!

It's resolutions time again!

Well, tomorrow is New Years Day and I’m sitting here trying to figure out just where this year went to!

Along with many others, I’m getting my resolutions made and ready to start ...

As with many, on my list is to lose weight and also to cut down on smoking.

Cut down on smoking instead of trying to quit? Yep - I’m gonna do it a bit at a time instead of all at once.

Another goal I have is that I’m committing to compacting for the entire month of January.

Basically what that means is to buy nothing new with the exception of food and medical supplies and of course, hygiene things as well.

Anything else is off-limits unless you can borrow it, barter for it, buy used.

This ought to be an interesting journey, for sure! a-lol

And, I’m also starting the purplecc system again and re-joined the yahoo group for support.

Here’s the link if anyone else is interested in checking it out.

Basically what it is, is that you create a chart of everything you have to do [daily chores and other things you need to do as well] ...

Then you give each chore a certain number of points and you keep track of points daily, weekly and monthly and at the end of the month, you rewards yourself somehow.

With mine, at the end of the month - I’m going to convert my points to cash [from my own money, of course!] and then put that amount of $ into my savings account.

Basically this is just a fun way to give ourselves a push to get things done ’cuz we love to see those points add up!

As for myself, as I said ... I’m converting my points to money and am saving for a maltese dog [which I desperately want someday!]

I want to wish each and every one of you a very happy and safe New Years and will see you in 2008!

Love,

Jen

Happy Birthday, Jesus!

"And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Happy Birthday, Jesus!

Too funny and too true *lol*

awebflippity2tuesday

Well friends, we’re quickly approaching a new year and so with the new year ...

I figured that I’d start a ... new blog!

I hope you like my blog header - it’s a picture of an absolutely adorable little maltese dog;

which is something I plan on getting someday [yes, just like my blog's name ... it's my dream!]

Isn’t she just too cute! yes

I’m just going to post this for now to get my blog started but hope to write more on it soon.

Since I never got to bed until after 4:00 this morning and got back up at 7:30 a.m.,

Well - I can definitely say that I’m too tired to really think right now to post more than this quick entry. a-lol

Have a wonderful day!

Love,

Jen
