nature lover's delight

Grand Vacation of my Dreams

Posted at 03:54 on 2009-Feb-6

My sister and her long lost Australian penfriend has finally kept in touch  after almost 20 years of silence, thanks to facebook.  It was an exciting thing being able to chat and get re acquainted virtually with this friend of my sister, Danita.  One thing I remember about her is the gift she has sent by posting, one koala bear made of real kangaroo fur (though perhaps such is now a taboo, especially for animal advocates), but that stuffed toy has been with my sister since grade school.  Well,  koalas  abound in the mid- Nothern part of New Southwales.  It is  where  Billabong Koala Park is located.

As they both keep each other posted now, my sis learned that Danita actually lives in Sidney though her roots are from New South Wales...and how she loves to travel. Knowing that she actually is from the place  made me eager all the more to visit  Australia and it's a good thing that she is inviting us over. Being a beach lover myself, I hope to visit one popular area for scuba diving and snorkeling, the Coffs Harbour which is known for its merged temperate and tropical waters.

A travel to NSW, Australia comes not only convenient but also affordable these days, thanks to my sister's friend who offer to show her or any family member around in case we get to visit the place. Moreover,in case she gets busy at the time of my visit,  Port Macquarie  Hotels  are known to offer cheaper rates yet quality services for tourists like me who love to travel around the place and its a good thing there are several hotels to choose from.  One that seems to meet my need is the Hastings Valley Motel.
Furthermore, Even if I opt to visit the Coffs area, still Coffs Harbour Hotels
bested in cozy and comfy place to stay with.I think I will fall in love with   Dolphins Sands Holiday Cabins Coffs Harbour, delighting in the serenity the place can offer as I explore the nearby places.
Moving into the area, still Byron Bay Hotels offer its grandeur to visitors.  It'll be a grand exeperience staying in one of their hotels, like  Friday on the Beach Byron Bay. These hotels can be booked online and for sure quality and affordable service await the grand vacation of my dream.
It won't  be long and I can enjoy life  like this.

Traveling 101

Posted at 12:20 on 2008-Jun-9

With research and proper planning, you can have a relaxing, enjoyable summer vacation that won't keep you up at night stressing about making everyone happy and stretching the budget.

First, make sure to involve the kids in the entire planning process. The more they feel like they have had a say about the destination and activities, the more co-operative they will be during the vacation.

Next, check out the Internet for your vacation destination possibilities. Try looking for beautiful Valencia Hotels or those Paris Hotels you have been eyeing for a long time. You will be able to find a lot of free planning materials to help put together the perfect trip. The majority of provincial tourism departments have travel kits complete with informational guides, brochures and maps that they will send you free of charge. Once you have compiled your information and packages, gather the family, research your options and decide where to go together.

Family vacations can be real budget-busters, therefore, plan a trip you can afford so that there are not any stressful or embarrassing moments while on the road. You might think twice of getting into Las Vegas Hotels at this time. Know what is included in the vacation package and what will cost you over and above so that you can budget wisely. Booking early and being flexible with travel dates and times allows you to capitalize on various airlines and hotel specials, which can equal big savings.

Also, look for hotels that cater to families. National hotel chains, such as Holiday Inn Hotels and Resorts, help to ensure that you will find a comfortable stay anywhere during your trip. And, family hotels like Holiday Inn also offer specific value programs.

In terms of vacation activities, call ahead to avoid disappointment. Make sure to book family attractions, entertainment and sporting adventures well in advance.

And finally, let kids help create memories. Giving them disposable cameras will not only empower them, but it will help capture more great moments from your family summer vacation.

Cruise Travel Tips

Posted at 11:08 on 2008-Jun-8
1.    A terrific travel agent is critical to getting the best deals.  He or she can steer you to another, in many cases, better ship and show you a discount you didn't even know about.  Travel agents know when bargains become available before the public.  The best way to find a terrific agent is to ask for referrals, as you would a doctor, lawyer or anyone in a service business.

2.   Whenever a great deal on a cruise pops up, pounce!  Sometimes a few staterooms are available a month before departure and these will go in a nanosecond.

3. Run "cruise travel agent" in Google and you'll pull up hundreds of travel agencies.  If your planning for Alaska Cruises, sign up for weekly bargain newsletters from a bunch of them to prep up and running.

4.Know what a bargain is and is not.  For example, cabin upgrades rarely are: today, cabins are standard in size and amenities and cruise lines will only upgrade you in the category you're already booked in.  Free gratuities and/or on board credit will save money for a beautiful Royal Caribbean cruise.

5.Cruise during the shoulder season.  From Memorial Day through Labor Day, ships are normally full of families.  Peak season for Canada/New England cruises is September and October.  You'll find the best prices outside these periods.

6.Cut down, or eliminate, the cruise line's shore excursions, which are over-priced.  You can arrange the same excursions on your by visiting the port's web site.

7.Repositioning cruises are the very best deal of all.  While a few ships sail year round from New York, most change cruising seasons in March and October/November like some Mediterranean Cruises.

8.I know it's fun to buy new clothes for a cruise, but do you really need anything? If the answer is "yes", then buy it on EBAY or head for your local discount store.

9.If you live outside the New York metropolitan area and plan to drive to New York or Brooklyn, check out alternative transportation such as Amtrak or bus service.  Not only is driving in  New York a nightmare, but gasoline keeps climbing and parking is very expensive.

10.Before departing, decide which on-board expenses are unnecessary.  Today cruise lines get the bulk of their revenue from on board purchases so they push the spa, art auctions and other revenue generating areas.  Do you really need more T-shirts?  I've eliminated massages since they're never as good as what I'll get in New York and cruise ship spas charge 40% more.

The Richness of Germany

Posted at 12:41 on 2008-May-6

I have a German friend whom I am currently teaching a few things in web development. He came to our country to finish his doctorate degree.

Sometimes, in some of our conversations, we talk about his country, Germany and its characteristics. I have learned through my school classes how rich Germany is in terms of history. It has faced years and years of pain and suffering on it’s 1930’s dictator Hitler. Today, much of the memories have been buried and the country has risen again from its ashes.

With much more stable economy, Germany has developed more and more into something worth visiting. Berlin Hotels and Köln Hotels have always made it sure that incase you decide to pay Germany a visit; you would always feel restful, enjoying scenic views like that of the Alps. You might also want to check out new and affordable Frankfurt Hotels and Munich Hotels, which suits you best.

Upon your visit, the grand Alpine beauty may welcome you, fascinate and enchant you. The Alps has always been a witness to the rich history and culture of various countries including Germany and the memories of it give you that sense of appreciation when you see it.

Fall In Love in France

Posted at 12:17 on 2008-May-6

Many say that French is the hardest dialect to learn. Well, I don’t have a first hand experience yet but I would love to have one.

Someday, I want to travel France, perhaps stay in one of those truly European Marseilles Hôtels or those beautiful Paris Hôtels while enjoying the scenic view of the Eiffel Tower. That can be majestic. I frequently see in movies how people travel there by either a bicycle, motorbike or a small vehicle. I seldom see big cars traveling along French roads. Probably due to the size of their streets.

I think traveling in France can really be a great experience. The roads, they say are really interconnected. I also like traveling in a long and extensive links of brick roads. Makes you appreciate the beauty of France that makes it relaxing and laid back.

Still, new cities in France have always been growing and great and affordable hotels like Toulouse Hôtels and Bordeaux Hôtels can really pamper you during your stay. With even just the thought of it, I’m falling in love already with the place.

A Sweet as a Summer Getaway

Posted at 01:27 on 2008-Apr-28

Imagine this: you are sitting in a cozy hammock, waving a bit with the wind and your motion. The hammock is tied to two shady trees planted in front of a white sand beach. The sun is not quite hot as the clouds cover the heat, nothing but the waves coming to ad fro, dancing with the sea breeze. You look around you and see nothing but calmness.

On your lap is your dear laptop, your good old friend in writing to your blog. The wireless connection is good. That makes your blogging as smooth as you could ever imagine.

What a beautiful time it could be. Especially if you are with Bloggers Review, a blog advertising company that makes your life so much easier. If you are a website owner and you want your company to receive the marketing boost it needs, then Bloggers Review fits perfectly for the job. They give you a secure and reliable service wherever you may be, may it be your office, your home or your favorite beach basking in the summer sun with your laptop.

Or if you are a blogger, you can also blog for pay with Bloggers Review. That makes blogging a sure win-win situation. The feeling is just like sitting in your cozy hammock, enjoying the summer sun at the beach. Try it.

Someday Down Under

Posted at 11:37 on 2008-Apr-16
I have a sister living in Perth, Western Australia. She has a family there and she had been coming to and fro ever since. I really hope I could visit her place someday. She asked me and my sister once if we want to go and see Australia. I was very keen on it. However, my scholarship grant terms didn't allow me to go anywhere outside the country. I guess I would just have to wait until the contract is over. My mom and my sister were able to visit her though. They had a great time.

Soon, if the circumstance allows me, I hope to travel each of the popular and big cities of Australia. I hope to see the famous Sydney Opera House and have a luxurious accomodation in Sydney. I would also want to see Melbourne with its beautiful sceneries. For sure it is easy to find a great accomodation in Melbourne as it has been a long developed city. of course I wouldn't miss the South Bank Parklands of Brisbane with its lush vegetation. Many could easily find a restful accomodation in Brisbane. I could ask my sister about it. And of course, finally, I'd like to see Perth, the city of famous Australian universities. Maybe I could get a degree in one of their universities there. An exchange scholarship perhaps. This, for sure, wouldn't be difficult to find a good place to stay. Aside from the great accomodation in Perth readily available, I could opt to stay with my sister and have a great time with my nephew and neice. I hope her husband wouldn't mind me staying for awhile.

For now, it is still a hope. But I quite confident I could get there someday.

Save Wisely and Travel

Posted at 01:00 on 2008-Apr-10

Saving for a well-earned and long-wanted trip is a must for me. Well, as I do not have much disposable income, I would have to save in order to get what I want and feed my hunger for traveling.

Traveling can really be expensive especially if it is not well-planned. In traveling, one must have an ample time to make the most out of discounts and cheaper rates. Of course, booking a flight a few months ahead is way a lot cheaper than a few days before the flight.

For me to really have a good, well-earned vacation, I would have to learn to save not just well but wisely. Maybe I could try WaMu, a great way to save online. It allows you to conveniently have a savings account that’s easy to access funds by ATM. There is no monthly service charge when you open online savings account. Just maintain a minimum balance of $300.00 each day of the monthly statement cycle to avoid the monthly service charge amount of $4.00. It can really be great and convenient, especially for me who works online. It allows me to manage my account wherever I go as long as I have my computer and an internet access.

Vacation Tips

Posted at 02:10 on 2008-Mar-23

Imagine a life without worries, deadlines, or pressure - just uninterrupted bliss and pure pleasure. Ah, what a dream vacation!

Taking a breather from the daily routine is a healthy practice. However, it might not turn up well if the vacationers are not able to plan the travel very meticulously. So to make that trip unforgettable, pleasant, and memorable, here are some suggestions:

Make a plan. Schedule your trips ahead of time. This allows you to have the time to check and adjust for possible conflicts in schedules. Make a list of possible places to go to, as well as activities to engage in. Be flexible in your time frame and make allowances for delays in travel or extensions in stay.

Seek advice from people who have been to your dream destination. They might have a number of tips to share to make your trip hassle-free and cost-effective. Also, make use of other sources of information.

Be prepared. If you plan to travel abroad, fix all your travel documents to avoid the hassles of having to negotiate with customs or immigration officials, or to avoid delayed trips. Make sure your travel documents are valid for the length of your vacation.

Prepare your pocket. Travels, especially abroad, require much expenditure. If this is your first time to visit the place, prepare to stretch the budget and reserve some for miscellaneous expenses. Avail of foreign exchange services at the bank, not at airports and terminals. Check for the expiry dates of your credit cards for you to enjoy continuous shopping and avoid embarrassment. Stretch your cash by seeking out affordable packages for your dream vacation and by availing of discounts or special season rates. If your planning on taking cruise vacations, try out Cruise Vacation Center who offer good deals for you on exotic cruise vacations. Their line up of luxury ships that include Princess Cruises , Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line offer much luxury and comfort at very reasonable packages. Booking it online makes your reservation really convenient and exciting with Cruise Vacation Center.

Pack lightly but wisely. For your own convenience, pack lightly but be sure to bring the necessities: clothing, money, documents, personal hygiene products etc. A week before leaving, check the weather bulletins in your destination to help you in deciding items to pack. Also, do not bring objects that may cause airport delays, such as weapons.

Take security precautions. Secure a map of the area and numbers of important local institutions such as the hospital, police station and convenience stores. Don't wander in a foreign place alone. Orient yourself with its landmarks, food, language, customs, and its inhabitants. Be familiar with the cultural peculiarities of locals to avoid offending them.

Always keep a good eye on your belongings and do not show off your cell phone, camera, wallet or cash. Be cautious when dealing with strangers. Always lock your luggage.

Maintain a good physical condition. Consult a physician to assess your capability to travel and engage in strenuous activities. Bring your medicines and vitamins, if necessary. Be careful of what you eat and drink while on vacation. Stay on the safe side and drink only bottled or mineral water.

Try to follow these tips and you are all set for a grand vacation.

My August Bliss

Posted at 12:02 on 2008-Mar-12
Last August of two thousand and seven, a few friends and I went to Boracay, one of the most treasured prides of the country. The island, located in the western part of the country has been given multiple awards as one of the best beaches in the world.
It was actually a long planned vacation, worked on for about five months. When the tickets were finally ready, the next step was to find a good, affordable and quality accommodation for people with limited budget like us. Good thing there were lots of websites with travel booking engine around – those travel technology widely used by companies to speed up hotels accommodation and services reservation through the use of the internet. If you own a travel agency and would like to invest in this current technology, NEXGEN Travel Distribution can help you with it.
Such hotel booking engine has surely made it easy for us to find a really (and I mean really) good deal in one of the best, high – end areas in the island. The hotel was small but sweet and cozy. It was also very economical and the staffs were very accommodating.
The developments of technology have indeed made travel easier and more convenient. Even the booking part is easy and fun.

You Can in Canada

Posted at 11:21 on 2008-Mar-12
Two very close childhood friends of mine had been waiting for years together with their parents for the approval of their application to migrate in Canada. About a year and a half now, their petition was approved and now they enjoy the snow and the new culture they are in, pretty much elusive for a tropical country I am in. They frequently show us pictures of the places they visit.
For sure, Canada can really be a great place to see, the culture and the sights. Located and occupies a major part of Northern America, Canada has an average winter and summer high temperatures across the country, varying and depending on the location.
I hope to see my friends soon. Surely, there are nice hotels and accommodations their. Calgary Hotels are a good start like the Delta Bow Valley well known in the place. A well developed country, for sure one can find good services and deals around when one gets there.
Though I am really not into snow skiing or making my snow man, I won’t mind the variety of the setting really. It’s an environment fairly familiar especially to those in the top most or the bottom most of the equator but not really to countries close to the equator so I guess it can really be fun.

Traveling Then and Now

Posted at 12:12 on 2008-Feb-26

Traveling has been around for years. The first people who traveled had probably gone throughout by land. The nomads of the Middle East were many then. They travel on and on, searching for nothing but adventure. Livestock and animals were already tamed. These helped a lot for people who travel to and fro. Camels suited well with the hot arid sands of the Sahara. Horses were great for almost any terrain like forests, bushes and even marsh.

The invention of boats and canoes soon sped up travel by utilizing different bodies of water. What used to take months to get around a huge gulf can now be traveled in a few days. Pretty soon, land travel did not go behind as steam engine was invented and the first train went around running the horizon. This technology was then adopted in boats that made it all faster and easier to travel.

Today, humans have gone so far as travel by air, by land and by sea. The technology of today has made possible travel convenience considered impossible before. Now, one can even make hotel reservations thousands of miles away in a click of a button. They even give advance hotel discounts to areas all over the globe. Hotels, motels and resorts alike can now be conveniently informed with details about the travel in speed virtually impossible a century ago. Competitive rates can also be compared miles away and without needing to wait days for inquiry answers to arrive. Features like car rental, room space, locations, and even scenic spots can be inquired and compared online without the hustle.

Traveling has indeed gone a long way and lucky for us today, traveling is not as impossible and as difficult as it was hundreds of years ago. If you have the time and money, travel now and enjoy what every man or woman deserves – traveling.

Land of Legends Ireland

Posted at 03:54 on 2008-Feb-21

Although there is archaeological evidence of habitation during the Stone and Bronze ages, the pre-Christian era in Ireland is known chiefly through legend. In about the 4th century BC, the tall, redhaired Celts from Gaul or Galicia arrived, bringing with them the Iron Age. They subdued the Picts in the north and the Érainn tribe in the south, and then settled down to establish a Gaelic civilization, absorbing many of the traditions of the previous inhabitants. By the 3rd century AD, the Gaels had established five permanent kingdoms - Ulster, Connacht, Leinster, Meath (North Leinster), and Munster with a high king, whose title was often more than honorary.

Today, Ireland is a beautiful country filled with history and legends. It can deliver a host of activities along the way, from the bright lights of Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Kilkenny and Waterford in the Republic of Ireland, and Belfast, Londonderry, Newry, Lisburn and Armagh in Northern Ireland to the breathtaking countryside in between.

To visit and stay in Ireland Hotels can be a beautiful and memorable experience. Dublin Hotels, Cork Hotels, Belfast Hotels and  Galway Hotels are very much available, giving world-class quality services.

Soon, if I have enough resources, Ireland would be one place I wouldn’t think twice to see myself.

Aaaah Arizona

Posted at 04:25 on 2008-Feb-16

Aaaah… Arizona, the home of the Grand Canyon. No other state offers such diverse landscape and vacation versatility. Known for its tranquil desert sunsets, Arizona offers so much more. Majestic mountain ranges, cool pine forests with changing seasons, swift rivers, calm mountain streams, colorful meadows and massive canyon lakes. Few know that Arizona has the largest stand of Ponderosa Pine in the world and temperature ranges that actually accommodate water skiing and snow skiing in the same day.

Have the time to experience the thrill and explore Arizona vacation highlights at your pleasure and convenience. It’s history is rich in legends of America's Old West. It was here that the great Indian chiefs Geronimo and Cochise led their people against the frontiersmen. Tombstone, Ariz., was the site of the West's most famous shoot-out—the gunfight at the O.K. Corral. Today, Arizona has one of the largest U.S. Indian populations; more than 14 tribes are represented on 20 reservations.

Arizona homes give you that tranquil and adventurous feel at the same time.  Phoenix is just one of the places you’ll be interested to see in this cowboy county. Much like Brooklyn if you like it I guess.

Glamourous Hollywood

Posted at 01:27 on 2008-Feb-8
Hollywood has been anything but static and after a few decades as the capital of film glamour, the neighborhood changed. Although much of the studio work remained in Hollywood, many stars moved to Beverly Hills, and the elegant shops and restaurants left with them.

In the 1960s, music recording studios and offices began moving to Hollywoodan offshoot of the nightclubs further west on Sunset Boulevard. Other businesses, however, continued to migrate to different parts of the city. Hollywood today is a diverse, vital, and active community striving to preserve the elegant buildings from its past. Much of the movie industry remains in the area, although the neighborhood's outward appearance has changed.

In 1985, the Hollywood Boulevard commercial and entertainment district was officially listed in the National Register of Historic Places protecting the neighborhood's important buildings and seeing to it that the significance of Hollywood's past would always be a part of its future.

Today, Hollywood has been the home to many actors and actresses, from girl-next-doors’ to heartthrobs to celebrity milfs. All have been interesting at some point in their career.
