If you've put your all into whatever you did today, if you did it for love of God and love of your family then you've accomplished the moon!
In reading some blogs and message boards I enjoy, there are always posts/vents/laments about ‘how to get it all done’ around our homes. Folks get overwhelmed and stressed and generally freaked out about getting a handle on it all.
I decided to blog about this because I gain so much from reading others’ thoughts on homekeeping and life in general, I can only hope to similarly bless folks along the way. Never know when your experience/perspective will help a fellow human being out! Share on, share on!
I think the most important thing we can do is keep the perspective that homekeeping is never 'done'. Tis a cycle that's going all the time. The laundry is never 'done' unless everybody is naked! The dishes are never done unless we don't use 'em at all! If we go through our days looking at the fun our kids are having as messes to clean up later, the meal we're lovingly(if hurriedly) putting together as dishes to be washed later, and so forth--we're missing so much blessing in enjoying life!
If you've put your all into your day, don't let anyone else's ideals of what should've been done mess with your perspective. If you've put your all into whatever you did today, if you did it for love of God and love of your family, then you've accomplished the moon! If, come suppertime, the dishes are piled high and the volcano you made and exploded with your kids covers your kitchen whilst the muddy shoes from a backyard romp with the dogs are underfoot, fix a filling supper of leftovers or PBJ and call it a wonderful day! We can choose to joyfully dive in, whatever is going on--never let anyone tell you how what or how much you should get done. No measuring your world by someone else’s ruler!
If you've put your all into whatever you did today, if you did it for love of God and love of your family, then you've accomplished the moon!
