Monday, February 12, 2007 - Sunshine n' Apple Trees

Posted in So Noted

We SO enjoyed the day Sunday!! The sun was shining bright and the temperature was very close to 40 out there-- WhooHoo!!

We spent the day home n' hearthin' and decided to make full use of the sunshine yet cold enough temps to prune the apple trees we have here on the homestead. Having lived here for only 16 months, not even knowing there WERE apple trees here at first, this was our first venture into pruning said apple trees. Here's to hoping we did okay and didn't traumatize my trees! Apple trees are special to me--but that's another post for another time.

The dogs(we have a yellow lab and a german shepherd dog) were beyond excited that we were outside for a good while--it's been too cold to do more than quickly feed n tousle with them for days n days!

While every season has it's beauty, I must admit I'm ready for winter to move right along now. In the meantime, we've a garden to plan, a tiller to buy.....oh the possibilities!
