Inspired by Karen over at pediascribe, I spent the first half of yesterday cleaning and reorganizing my 3year old's room. with a new baby on the way I figure its best to stay on top of the toy/ clothing purge so there will be room for someone else in that tiny bedroom (at least theoretically). You know what i discovered, and im sure this will shock you moms, that my son has entirely too many toys. toys he never plays with, so many toys he could not possibly get to them all. strange toys. so i grabbed 2 garbage bags and filled one up with broken missing pieces toys and the other with good condiditon toys that he will never play with and hopefully some one a goodwill will be blessed this christmas as half are still in their boxes. And don't even get me started on books, that is mostly my fault, it was the buckling of a bookcase that inspired this clean up. The thing is, he has a birthday in october and christmas is right around the corner. how do i call a moratorium on toys, a hiatus, a strike! We have a tiny house and my son has everything he wants already. he is just getting interested in some of the toys he got for his last birthday. HELP we have a 824 sqft house (yes we also have a finished basement but i do not want a play room!!) How do I politely ask loved ones not to buy him "things" for his birthday memberships would be ideal, edible stuff is good, cash is great cause i used it to buy him shoes throughout the year LOL. any suggestions? { Post a Comment } { Last Page } { Page 5 of 20 } { Next Page } |
